Yael-
The family trip to New Hampshire told the audience a lot about your family. You enjoy spending time together bolding, you enjoy nature, and family is important to you. This was a good way to start off a project in which you will speak about the importance of your family. In the slide of the front seat of the car, you wrote “do anything or go anywhere.” This opens up a whole new topic discussing what type of adventures you and your friend did in this car. The picture of Echo Lake was a blurry picture which makes it seem like it was a blurry memory to you now. I’m not sure if that was your intention but that’s what it seemed like to me. The picture of you and your friend Tara showed very genuine happiness. Those smiles were not posed. I especially liked how you mentioned your different paths now. The picture was taken when you were young which gives the audience a question of where is your friendship now. You mentioned this when you said that she is married and lives in Israel and you e-mail every day. Overall I noticed that every paragraph you wrote was written in great detail. You let me feel as if I were living through some of these stories because I now know so much about them.
Fred-
Your cover picture tells us a lot about you. Your facial expressions in that photo is not one I see everyday in class. You look very happy which grabs the audience into wanting to know what makes this guy's life so full of happiness. The choice of a black and white photo can either be showing old fashion or a head shot used is sometimes done in black and white. You mention music in the paragraph as your ending. Does music make you this happy? Your second photo or the CD told me about what type of music you like. The fact that you chose a CD rather than an i-pod title or a record shows us what time in your life this band was important to you. Music is a big part of your life and it motivates you. The photo of you and your friends was my favorite. There is so much in this photo that everyone in the room can relate to. Everyone has those special "buds" in their lives who can have a good time like that. You happen to have gotten a great candid shot of you and your friends. You end off the paragraph with a cliffhanger. You mention that you and your friends went through "coming of age" together. It is very interesting to note what you meant by this term. I would be very interested if your connecting slide went into dramatic details of this. In your last photo of you and your father there is a lot of body language to read. You are smiling and he is not. There is no hugging in the picture. This shows respect and fear yet you still love him and look up to him. Your grandfathers head popping out confused me because I wasn't sure if he was an important part of the picture or not.
